The Social Justice League is a group of students from BSC concerned with injustices, both locally and globally. Locally, we have addressed homelessness through our Tent City in November 2007. Through the generosity of students and faculty, and help from Just Claying Around and the Community Service Center, we were able to make a donation to the Brockton Mainspring Shelter.
Abroad, we are concerned with sweatshop and slave labor conditions throughout the world. With this in mind, and with the support of our college president, we were able to get our school to sign on the the Workers Rights Consortium, ensuring that our clothing will no longer be made at the expense of the workers who have made it.
We will always welcome new members interested in working towards a more socially just world. Just stop by any of our events or meetings!
Our meetings are Tuesdays at 3:30 in the Burrill Office Building.
Movie nights are in Moakley Auditorium every other Wednesday at 7PM.
